You saw the sneak peek and now it’s time to show you the full wedding of Craig & Nicholle!
This really sweet Colorado couple had a destination wedding at The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, FL and what a great day it turned out to be! We flew in the day of the rehearsal and the weather was beautiful and warm, but the forecast wasn’t looking too good for the next day. We woke up to gray skies. rain, and lots of wind on the wedding day and were a bit worried that the beach wedding Craig and Nicholle were wanting wasn’t going to happen. Through the course of the preparations, the gray skies cleared away and the sun began to shine! The beach front was still a bit windy so the wedding ceremony moved to the pavilion of the hotel, and it was perfect. :)
Craig and Nicholle are really amazing and we were so glad that we were able to be a part of this day for them.

While Nicholle was getting ready she had an audience of a few cute kids, including the below adorable munchkin!
Craig and Nicholle wanted to see each other before before the ceremony, so we had their first look on the back terrace of the hotel which was really beautiful.

We got to shoot the awesome wedding of Christian & Elisabeth a few weeks back in Sewanee, TN and had an absolute blast! Christian actually graduated from med school the day before and then they and their families drove up to Sewanee for their wedding the next day! Whew! They were troopers and you would have had no idea that Christian just finished grueling exams. Christian & Elizabeth were amazingly calm and were a joy to work with.
At the end of the night we received the best compliment that a client can give us – They said their day was better because we were there. That is our goal for all of our weddings and thank-you, Christian & Elizabeth for letting us be a part of your day.
These guys were really fun and after the ceremony we headed to one of their favorite spots in town to shoot even more photos of the two of them. It was really wonderful to be a part of such a cool day with these guys and we wish them the best! They were all about the Nashville vendors, they even had their rehearsal & reception food catered in from the delicious A Catered Affair!

We often get asked if we travel for weddings, and you bet we do!
The other weekend we trekked out to the mountains of North Carolina to a quaint and picturesque town by the name of Cashiers. Our wonderful couple, Jeremy & Emily had their wedding at the High Hampton Inn & Country Club and it was a BEAUTIFUL location. The mountains, the scenery – we couldn’t wait to begin the photos. Sadly, about 5 minutes after we started Jeremy’s photos, the rain came down and did not let up the whole day. No worries – we came prepared and made the best of the available light and used some of our own lighting! The day turned out fantastic and Emily & Jeremy were happily wed and married by the end of the day. Yay!!

We had the honor to be a part of the beautiful wedding of Whitney and Drew… It wasn’t beautiful simply because it was in Florida, or because it was in the FABULOUS destination wedding local Carillon Beach Resort, or because we had a killer sunset on the beach to shoot photos of these guys… It was a beautiful wedding because of the couple.
We were drawn to Whitney & Drew’s story… how they both love the Lord… how they wanted to honor God in their relationship, the love and respect they have for each other, how they were so genuinely excited to be committing themselves to each other, how they actually have two streets back in TX that cross each other bearing their names (if that’s not a sign, what is??) and of course, waaay long before Whitney even met Drew, she knew she wanted us. We like a bride who knows who she wants :)
As mentioned, Whitney and Drew chose a destination wedding in Carillon Beach Resort, which has a designated staff and event space to solely handle Carillon Beach Weddings. Once we arrived there, we knew why they had made the choice. The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and they have a staff there who is AMAZING (yay Victoria & Avis!)!!! The wedding was absolutely perfect and the guest list was to match, with only their absolute closest friends and family attending – all who have been a part of their relationship and lives. We cannot tell you how thrilled we were to be welcomed into this personal, intimate, and meaningful wedding celebration and capture it.
The weather the day before was cloudy and overcast (not to mention COLD!), but by the time their wedding day festivities began, the sun was shining down! The photography highlight of the day was immediately after the ceremony ended, we rushed down to the beach (in the decked out golf cart :) to catch the last bit of remaining light, and as we made our way over the steps of the pier to the beach, we were met with the most BEAUTIFUL sunset. Whitney & Drew ignored the windy chill and worked it in the 20 minutes of sunlight we had left to shoot in! It was the most gorgeous sunset you have ever seen and exactly what they were looking for in their photos. Love it!
It was a great day and we are SO excited to show you the images!! For those of you still wondering if we travel – yes! We do! We love traveling, so do not hesitate to call us if you do not live in Tennessee! :)
To view Drew & Whitney’s images online once they go live, sign up for their online guest book.
Enjoy the images!
Drew holding his wedding gift for Whitney, getting ready to send it off to be delivered for his soon-to-be Bride! We think she liked them… :)
And now Drew receiving Whitney’s gift to him!
LOVE these guys and their excitement in finally being married. We don’t think they stopped smiling all day!
And now, killer sunset…
Off to warm up and celebrate!
Ok, here is the groom’s cake. As you can see, Whitney & Drew are represented with the dogs they each have AND also the street sign that has their names on them back in Texas!! Lol, this was tooooooooo cute.
After their exit, we went and shot around on the Carillon premises with all the lights they had turned on just for Whitney & Drew! This would have been quite the challenge without our trusty video light and of course, Zach’s mad lighting skills.
Thank-you, Victoria for letting us shoot in your back yard!
Some of the awesome vendors from the day were:
- Accommodations & Florida Wedding Venue – Carillon Beach Resort. We cannot speak highly enough of Victoria and her team who were superb.
- Townsend Catering – Donna and David Townsend. This seriously was the most AMAZING catered food we have ever had in all of our travels.
- Elegant Tents and Events - Vicki Blount
- Nouveau Flowers - Christina Springfield
- Wedding Cake - Confections on the Coast
Florida was absolutly beautiful for a wedding. If you could chose any place in the world to get married, where would you pick? …I think we would go for Bora Bora… :)

We had the awesome privilege of traveling to Monteagle, TN to shoot the amazingly cool wedding of Beth & Josh. These guys could not have been more easy to work with and Beth looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day! We started off shooting at their family home up in the mountains and then headed to the beautiful church where Beth also went to school when she was younger. The family and friends and everyone that was associated with the wedding were so nice, helpful and accommodating. The night was capped off with an outdoor reception at the High Point restaurant that Al Capone himself financed!
It was an awesome event and we had a blast! Check out the images from the day below!!
Vicki NelsonHey guys . . . I just wanted to say that you are absolutely amazing! I always get excited when one of my brides is choosing you for their wedding. I hope this year is PHENOMINAL for you!
Joyce FryeWow! This has to be one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen. Beth and Josh were blessed to have such a wonderful photographer capture this precious time in their life. Thank you for sharing with us.
We often get asked if we travel and our answer is always a huge resounding YES! We are destination wedding photographers, whether the destination be a vineyard in GA (like the wedding below!) or Bora Bora. So yes. We travel.
We just got back Sunday night from an amazing wedding at the Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega (for those wondering, it’s pronounced duh-lon-eh-guh), GA which is just north of Atlanta. The wedding was planned by the AMAZINGLY cool Amy Osaba who also did the floral design as well (props to her awesome assistant Brittany too!) and the staff at the winery was top class. Other vendors included: On-site Hair & Makeup – Karma Salon, Wedding & Grooms cakes – Lulu’s Bakery, Gelato that was brought in for the wedding guests – Dreamy Gelato, Videographer – Creative Video Moments, Bridesmaid Dresses – Bella Bridesmaid, Bride’s Dress – Bride Beautiful, Groom/Groomsmen Tuxedos – A Formal Affair, Limo Service – Atlantic Limo.
As Jody and I were following the GPS out to the vineyard we were in some interesting Georgia back country and kept hearing the theme song from Deliverance playing through our heads. Then, out of nowhere, we turned into the Montaluce Winery, headed down the hill into what can only be described as a little Tuscan village! There were these beautiful villa-style homes, rolling hills and winding roads that were like heaven on earth.
As you head back toward the vineyard itself, you see this gorgeous hill-top restaurant that is three stories tall. They make their own wine in these huge steel fermenting vats in the basement and have a world-class chef preparing meals for the guests. Weddings are held on the terrace (which is overlooking the vineyard) or out near the lake on the dock.
There had been torrential down pours in GA for a week with flooding all over, and the day of the wedding was no exception, sadly. Luckily, we had this beautiful location to shoot inside of and we took full advantage of it! The ladies all got ready in one of the cottages on the hill, and the guys all hung out on the third floor of the restaurant kicking back and relaxing!
Check out the images from the day below!
Jody got some AWESOME details of the bride’s shoes and flowers as they were all getting hair and make-up done.
Here is the bride coming over from the villa to the vineyard with not a drop of rain (thank-you nice valet guys!). She was all class and looked amazing!
We shot images all over of the bride and everywhere we went was so cool and viby!
Jody grabbed this awesome shot of the bride showing off here stellar pink heals!
As we were shooting the above shot of the bride, her dad walked out to see her for the first time and I grabbed this shot.
All the ladies being sassy!
So the guys wanted to add some stress on to the bride, so they all got into some Converse All Stars to mess with her. They were acting like they were going to wear these shoes for the wedding and they were having WAY too much fun!
Here was Amanda’s reaction when she saw them sitting above. She actually thought it was hilarious and wanted the guys to wear them the rest of the day. Too funny!!
Then we started shooting the guys in and around the oh so cool rooms.
The rain did hold off for a few minutes and we ran out to get this shot of the guys.
The bride road in to the ceremony on a horse-drawn carriage and the groom and guests looked on from the second floor patio. It was really romantic!
Waiting for the bride to arrive!
Then we were off to shoot the bride and groom!
Off to the reception! Notice the awesome floral arrangements done once again, by the fantastic Amy Osaba!
The entrance of the newly married couple…
John is an airplane mechanic, hence the nature of the grooms cake!
In keeping with the Tuscan theme, Amanda and John had Gelato brought in for all their wedding guests!
Jody grabbed these amazing shots of the exit! I love all the sparklers and the look on their faces!
Jody also grabbed this awesome shot as our couple jumped into the limo just before they headed off!
Congrats John & Amanda! We were so honored to be a part of your big day!! Have an awesome time in Greece!!!!
Chris RobertsonYour work just keeps getting better. I LOVE the shoe shot!

This last weekend we traveled out to Jasper, AL (in the Birmingham, AL vicinity) and shot the fall wedding of Haley & Michael Graydon at Huckleberry Farms! The wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect, but let me tell you… everyone was a bit worried at first…
For those of you located in this southern region you know that we have all been hit with a lot of unusual rainfall lately. Michael and Haley planned to have their ceremony outside and then proceed to the barn for their reception. The only problem – it had been raining non-stop ALL week and the weather for Saturday had thunderstorms in the forecast. Everyone was hoping and praying for it to stop and as we woke up Saturday morning we peeked out of our hotel window to be dismayed with dark gray clouds and rain pouring down. We quickly turned on the weather channel to see if it was supposed to clear up at all later in the day, but no luck.
Loaded up with our gear and umbrellas we headed out to the farm to see how we could make do with the rain. Soon the girls stared arriving and we all set out to the owner’s house for the girls to get ready… Haley got in her dress, we headed upstairs to begin her photos… stepped out the door… and low and behold – the rain had stopped! We kid you not. The rain stopped as Hailey dressed and held off until the wedding was completely over! We were all completely blown away and so awed once again how God cares about the “little” things that are important to us, even though insignificant in the long run or grand scheme of things.
The weather turned out absolutely beautiful and we even got a little sun peeking through here and there! What a day!
Haley & Michael’s wedding was a fall themed wedding and there were so many cool details to shoot from pumpkins, to customized candy apples and you’ll just have to see for yourselves. Huckleberry Farms was such a picturesque place to shoot at and had so many different areas on the land that we could go to. The outside pavilion is perfect for outdoor ceremonies and their barn was a great place to have the reception. Enjoy the images!
Off to the reception!!!!
One of the most awesome things (especially as photographers) for this wedding was the amazing fall details that were everywhere! All the amazing elements really set the tone of the event, and major props go out to the wonderful women below who put this all together. Some of the vendors who turned this barn into an absolutely classy fall wedding:
Birmingham Event Designer: Kelley Kirkland, 205.296.0761
Birmingham Wedding Florist (fresh flowers bouquets, arrangements & design): Kim and Sunnie Leigh of Kathy Leigh Floral Designs
Birmingham Custom Silk Flower Arrangements: Shelayne of SilkINDesign
Wedding Coordinator: Marshia Bruce
Cake: Amanda’s Cakes & Candies, 205.280.0119
Thank-you Haley & Michael, and thank-you Parents. You guys have amazing families and friends and we are glad that we were able to be a part of this memorable day!

For those wondering – we are settled in and have internet once again!! Woo hoo! Life is good ;o)
In regards to the blog title – not sure why that song popped into my head… well, probably because I’m getting ready to blog about part of our AL wedding trip!!!
So this past weekend, we traveled down to the great state of Alabama – Birmingham to be exact. We had a SUPER awesome time, and what a great couple and families to be around. One could really feel the love and honor Daniel & Brigette had for each other and their relationship with God, and it was so transparent in their marriage ceremony and celebration after. We were so glad we could be a part of it!
We have pulled a few photos from the first part of the day for those who are anxious to see. Enjoy the photos & commentary :)
We started the day off at this amazing piece of property (thanks Karen & family!) and had a blast with the 17 gals in the bridal party…
All 17 attendants!
Then the ladies left, and the guys came out for their photos.
and ceremony time!
and then some shoot time with the couple before the reception…
And here we have a few photos from Paul & Laura’s wedding in good ‘ol South Carolina!
It all began with them December of last year when we shot a wedding in Indiana. One of the groomsmen was from SC and went back home raving about us to Paul & Laura. Laura contacted us and without ever meeting us (not sure if we had even spoken on the phone at that point!), booked us… and now they are finally hitched and we were able to be there and capture it all! They are a great couple, and even cooler, they are now moving to Nashville (how perfect), and we do hear that Paul is a great handyman… ;o)
Jonathon CampbellNice. Me likey! I dig that shot of Jody...you can't fool me, I saw that shot of her in her full ninja getup. Zach you may be all off camera lighting but Jody creeps in like a ninja using that natural light. What a great team!
It was great to meet you. Your photos are absolutely breathtaking, and we can't wait to see the full complement. Thanks for sharing this great week-end with all of us.
