We got to shoot the awesome wedding of Christian & Elisabeth a few weeks back in Sewanee, TN and had an absolute blast!  Christian actually graduated from med school the day before and then they and their families drove up to Sewanee for their wedding the next day!  Whew!  They were troopers and you would have had no idea that Christian just finished grueling exams.  Christian & Elizabeth were amazingly calm and were a joy to work with.

At the end of the night we received the best compliment that a client can give us – They said their day was better because we were there.  That is our goal for all of our weddings and thank-you, Christian & Elizabeth for letting us be a part of your day.

These guys were really fun and after the ceremony we headed to one of their favorite spots in town to shoot even more photos of the two of them. It was really wonderful to be a part of such a cool day with these guys and we wish them the best!  They were all about the Nashville vendors, they even had their rehearsal & reception food catered in from the delicious A Catered Affair!

This past Friday we shot a beautiful couple at The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, FL. We were super thrilled to be a part of this sweet couple’s day and to capture it for them…

Tropical storm Bonnie tried to come out and steal the show, but we prayed her away and they had some amazingly awesome weather for the wedding day!  yay!!!

Now it is time to give you a deeper look into the spring wedding of Jake & Meredith Zeller!!!

When we met Jake & Meredith earlier this year we instantly loved them!  Jake is a cool guy and owns his own landscaping company, Elements of Eden, and Meredith is a woman of many talents, one being a wedding planner herself!  Visit her wedding planning site at Bridal Blueprints.  :) Anyway, we LOVE them and not JUST because they invite us over for French Toast before Church…. :)  We could not wait for their wedding day to come and were so glad that we were able to be a part of it!

After Jake & Meredith’s grand exit from Belle Meade, upon their request, we followed them back to the Hutton Hotel to take a few shots of them jumping on the bed!

We had the fun privileged of shooting Rhett & Nicole’s spring wedding last month at Two Rivers Mansion!  This wedding was put together by none other than Mary Natalie with Weddings By Mary Natalie, and she and her team did a simply stunning job with the all the details and the wedding day!

The day started off with some rainfall and all the guy’s photos were shot on the front porch making use of the available light and pulling out some of our strobes, but as soon as Nicole came out – the rain stopped and the sun shone away!!!  The rain held off throughout the ceremony, photos of Nicole and Rhett, and the reception, but literally, FIVE minutes after the last song played…. a drop of rain was felt.. then another… and then TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR!  :)  How’s that for timing?  The day was fantastic and fun was had by all.  We are so glad that we were able to be a part of it!

We had the pleasure of shooting an absolutely beautiful Nashville wedding for an absolutely beautiful couple this last month.  When we first met Josh & Jenny, we loved their personalities and their love for music, and we were a perfect fit for the kind of wedding photography experience that they were looking for.

Their wedding was beautiful, the weather was perfect, everything looked fantastic, and the wedding went off without a hitch, thanks to Dori Thornton and her fab team from The Social Office, not to mention all of the other fantastic vendors who were a part of this day as well.

We will start off this post with Josh & Jenny’s adorable favors!  These favors, along with the programs and koozies were all created and by Nicole and Lauren of  Nico and Lala. The “Mint to Be” favor was placed in a mint plant for guests to take home.  So cute!

Jenny’s GORGEOUS dress was a Melissa Sweet with hand embroidery and floral applique with Swarvoski crystal detail from the fabulous The Bride Room in Nashville, TN.  The dress fit Jenny like a glove and was absolutely stunning on her!

Jenny’s bridesmaids were a RIOT and super fun!  If only you could have been there while we were shooting … :)

The flowers that you see below and throughout this post were done by Ilex for Flowers.  Phalapopis Orchids, hundreds of white and green roses, and White Garden Peonies, created a beautiful backdrop for the festivities!

Josh & Jenny got married in the garden where Josh proposed…

Their cake, by Leland Riggan of Desert Designs, was AMAZING! As you can see, the bride’s cake was 5 tiers, designed with a chocolate brown branches and  delicate Spring green blossoms inspired by their invitations.  The flavors were a combination of chocolate truffle cake and sour cream cake iced in butter meringue, and the groom’s cake was an un-iced marble cake covered in fresh strawberries!

The fantastic live band, Scat Springs, kept the party going with their amazing musicianship and entertainment, and if you take notice of the dance floor, it was custom hand painted continuing the tree branches and blossoms theme.

Jenny threw her bouquet from the balcony, just before her and Josh departed. They exited the house under a tunnel of lit branches as they were surprised by the Odessa and the Settles Connection singing “Oh Happy Day.”  It was a beautiful moment!!

As we often tell people, yes, we shoot weddings all over the United States/Universe (waiting for our first wedding on the moon… ;o), but this one couple had a destination wedding right here in the great state of Tennessee!

We shot the beautiful wedding of New York couple, Adam & Rita here in Nashville and what a wedding it was! Adam and Rita planned their wedding from New York (she even got her dress at Kleinfeld‘ s Say Yes To the Dress on TLC!).  The day was filled with culture and meaning and we had a joy shooting it!!!

Adam and Rita wanted to see each other beforehand and get their photos taken at Centennial Park so we set this up at the Parthenon!

Before the traditional “white wedding dress” Western ceremony, Rita and Adam took part in a private Muslim ceremony called the Nikah.

And then it was time for the Western ceremony!
